Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure all components are present and undamaged.

  1. Mount control panel: Install in dry, protected location near electrical service.
  2. Install electrode cell: Mount in pool return line after filter and heater.
  3. Connect flow sensor: Install in pipe before electrode cell.
  4. Electrical connections: Connect to dedicated 240V circuit with proper grounding.
  5. Salt addition: Add required pool salt to achieve 3000-3500 ppm concentration.

WARNING! Electrical shock hazard - disconnect power before installation. Only qualified electricians should perform electrical connections.

First-Time Setup

Power on system; follow initial setup procedure.

  1. Salt level verification: Allow system to circulate for 24 hours before checking salt levels.
  2. Chlorine production: Set initial output to 50% and adjust based on water testing.
  3. Timer programming: Set pump run times to match chlorine production needs.
  4. Water balance: Adjust pH to 7.2-7.6 and alkalinity to 80-120 ppm.
  5. System calibration: Verify flow sensor and salt sensor readings.

CAUTION! Do not operate system without proper water flow. Ensure all plumbing connections are leak-free.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access control panel for system operation and monitoring.

Control Panel: POWER, MENU, UP/DOWN arrows, ENTER, BOOST, CLEAN.

Settings: Chlorine output (20-100%), Pool type (concrete, vinyl, fiberglass), Salt level display, Temperature display, Flow status, Error history, System status indicators. Maintenance: Cell cleaning cycle, System reset, Factory defaults, Diagnostic mode.

Connecting to Pool Systems

Compatible with Jandy Aqualink RS automation and other pool control systems.

  1. Turn off power to all pool equipment before making connections.
  2. Connect control wires to automation system per wiring diagram.
  3. Verify communication between systems.
  4. Program automation to control chlorine generator operation.

Tip: Use waterproof connectors for all external wiring connections.

Operation and Maintenance

Daily operation is automatic once properly configured.

  1. Monitor salt levels: Check monthly and add salt as needed.
  2. Inspect electrode cell: Clean every 3 months or as indicated.
  3. Check flow sensor: Ensure proper water flow indication.
  4. Review error logs: Address any stored error codes.
  5. Seasonal shutdown: Proper winterization procedures for cold climates.

WARNING! Never operate system with dry cell or without proper water chemistry balance.

Water Chemistry Management

Maintain proper water balance for optimal system performance.

Test water weekly and adjust chemicals as needed.

Care & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures long system life and optimal performance.

  1. Electrode cell cleaning: Use diluted muriatic acid solution (4:1 water to acid).
  2. Control panel: Clean with damp cloth only.
  3. Flow sensor: Inspect and clean sensor port annually.
  4. Winter storage: Drain all water from cell and plumbing when temperatures drop below freezing.

CAUTION! Wear protective equipment when handling acids. Always add acid to water, never water to acid.
