Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper location and support.

  1. Select installation location: Choose stable, accessible area near pool equipment.
  2. Prepare piping: Cut and dry-fit PVC pipes to valve ports.
  3. Install valve body: Use PVC primer and cement for permanent connections.
  4. Mount actuator: Attach actuator to valve body using provided hardware.
  5. Connect wiring: Route 24V AC power and control wires to actuator.

WARNING! Ensure power is disconnected during installation. Use proper PVC cement and allow adequate cure time.

First-Time Setup

Power on valve system; configure initial settings.

  1. Power connection: Connect 24V AC power to actuator terminals.
  2. Position calibration: Use manual override to set initial positions.
  3. Control system setup: Program valve positions in pool automation controller.
  4. Test operation: Verify valve moves smoothly between positions.
  5. Set limits: Configure open/close positions if adjustable.

CAUTION! Ensure proper voltage (24V AC only). Do not exceed rated pressure and flow limits.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access control via automation system or manual override. Actuator Features: Power indicator, position indicators, manual override lever.

Automation Control: Compatible with Jandy Aqualink, Hayward Pro Logic, Pentair IntelliTouch systems.

Position Settings: Open, closed, intermediate positions. Timing: Adjustable rotation speed. Limits: Mechanical or programmable end stops. Manual Override: Pull up and turn for manual operation when power is off.

Connecting to Pool Systems

Main applications: Pool/spa selection, water feature control, cleaner line control, solar heating bypass.

  1. Turn off pool pump and power before connecting.
  2. Identify flow direction (arrow indicates proper orientation).
  3. Connect to automation system using provided wiring harness.
  4. Program valve positions in automation controller.
  5. Test with pump running at low speed first.

Tip: Label valve positions for easy identification during programming.

Operation Modes

Supports automated and manual operation modes.

  1. Automated Mode: Controlled by pool automation system on programmed schedule.
  2. Manual Mode: Use manual override lever when power is unavailable.
  3. Position Selection: Open, closed, or intermediate positions for flow control.
  4. Timed Operation: Program specific duration for each position.
  5. Sequence Operation: Multiple valves can operate in coordinated sequences.
  6. Safety Interlock: Prevents conflicting valve positions.
  7. Status Feedback: Position indicators show current valve status.
  8. Error Detection: Built-in detection for obstruction or motor stall.

WARNING! Do not force manual override against motor resistance. Ensure power is off before manual operation.

Maintenance Features

Manual Override: Emergency operation during power failure. Position Indicators: Visual status of valve position. Service Mode: Disable automation for maintenance.

Care & Cleaning

Disconnect power before maintenance. Clean exterior with mild soap and water. Inspect seals annually.

CAUTION! Do not use harsh chemicals or high-pressure spray. Keep electrical connections dry.
