Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Select level, stable location near pool equipment.

1. Position filter: Place on solid, level surface near pool pump and heater.

3. Add filter sand: Fill tank with specified grade and amount of filter sand.

First-Time Setup

Operation and Filtration

3. Backwash When: Pressure rises 8-10 PSI above clean pressure.
4. Backwash Procedure: Turn off pump, set to "BACKWASH", restart pump for 2-3 minutes.
5. Rinse Procedure: Turn off pump, set to "RINSE", restart for 30-60 seconds.
6. Return to Filter: Turn off pump, set to "FILTER", restart pump.
7. Air Relief: Open air relief valve until water flows, then close.

WARNING! Always turn off pump before changing valve positions. Never force valve handle.

Maintenance Procedures
