Machine Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable sewing table.

  1. Connect foot control: Plug into machine and power outlet.
  2. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back.
  3. Wind bobbin: Place bobbin on winder, thread through tension disc, press foot control.
  4. Insert bobbin: Drop bobbin into case with thread counterclockwise.
  5. Thread machine: Follow numbered threading path on machine.

WARNING! Always disconnect power when threading needle or changing accessories.

First-Time Operation

Connect power; test basic functions.

  1. Power on: Connect to outlet, turn on power switch.
  2. Test stitching: Use scrap fabric to test straight stitch.
  3. Adjust tension: Check stitch formation on both sides of fabric.
  4. Practice stitches: Try different built-in stitches.

  4. Lower presser foot and start sewing.
  5. Machine completes buttonhole automatically.

Drop Feed: Lower feed dogs for free-motion quilting, darning, or embroidery.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.

  1. Unplug machine before cleaning.
  2. Remove needle plate to clean lint from bobbin area.
  3. Use small brush to remove dust and thread particles.
  4. Oil moving parts as directed in maintenance section.
  5. Cover machine when not in use.

CAUTION! Never use compressed air; it can force lint deeper into mechanism.
