Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface at comfortable working height.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and protective covers.
  2. Place machine on sturdy table or sewing cabinet.
  3. Connect foot control pedal to machine.
  4. Plug power cord into machine and then into AC outlet.
  5. Install needle properly with flat side facing back.
  6. Wind and insert bobbin following threading diagram.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always turn off and unplug for maintenance.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; follow basic setup procedures.

  1. Thread machine: Follow numbered threading path on machine.
  2. Insert bobbin: Place bobbin in case with thread unwinding counterclockwise.
  3. Select stitch: Turn stitch selection dial to desired pattern.
  4. Adjust settings: Set stitch length and width as needed.

  4. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, wrap around bobbin winder tension.
  5. Insert bobbin: Drop bobbin into case with thread unwinding counterclockwise.
  6. Pull bobbin thread up through needle plate.

WARNING! Ensure machine is turned off during threading.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Clean lint and dust from bobbin area regularly.
  2. Oil moving parts as specified in manual (usually every 6 months).
