Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable sewing table.

  1. Remove packaging materials and protective covers.
  2. Place machine on flat, stable surface at comfortable height.
  3. Connect foot control pedal to machine.
  4. Plug power cord into machine and electrical outlet.
  5. Install needle following directional markings.
  6. Wind and install bobbin in top-loading bobbin case.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always turn off power when threading or changing needle.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; follow setup procedures.

  1. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered threading path on machine.
  2. Use automatic needle threader: Push lever down and pull thread through needle.
  3. Insert bobbin: Place bobbin in case with thread unwinding counterclockwise.
  4. Bring up bobbin thread: Hold upper thread and turn handwheel toward you.
  5. Select basic straight stitch for initial testing.
  6. Practice on scrap fabric to adjust tension and stitch settings.

CAUTION! Always start with needle in highest position. Use proper needle for fabric type.

Basic Sewing Operations

Step-by-step sewing procedures:

  1. Thread machine: Follow numbered path; use automatic needle threader.
  2. Insert bobbin: Ensure correct direction and threading.
  3. Select stitch: Turn dial to desired stitch number.
  4. Adjust settings: Set stitch length and width as needed.
  5. Position fabric: Lower presser foot; guide fabric evenly.
  6. Start sewing: Press foot control gently to begin.
  7. Reverse: Press reverse button to secure stitches.
  8. Finish: Raise needle, lift presser foot, remove fabric, cut threads.

WARNING! Never pull fabric while sewing. Let feed dogs move fabric automatically.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug machine before maintenance. Regular cleaning prevents lint buildup.

  1. Remove needle plate: Clean feed dogs and bobbin area.
  2. Clean bobbin case: Remove lint with small brush.
  3. Oil machine: Use sewing machine oil on designated points only.
  4. Check needle: Replace bent or dull needles immediately.
  5. Cover machine: When not in use to prevent dust accumulation.

CAUTION! Use only sewing machine oil. Never use household oils.
