Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Remove machine from packaging: Remove all protective materials and tape.
  2. Attach extension table: Slide onto free arm until it clicks into place.
  3. Connect foot control: Plug into machine's foot control port.
  4. Connect power: Plug power cord into machine and wall outlet.
  5. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back, tighten screw.

WARNING! Machine is heavy; lift with care to avoid injury. Ensure all connections are secure.

First-Time Setup

Prepare machine for first use; follow setup procedures.

  1. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide thread through tension, wind bobbin.
  2. Insert bobbin: Remove extension table, insert bobbin with thread unwinding counterclockwise.
  3. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered threading path on machine.
  4. Use needle threader: Push lever down and forward to thread needle automatically.
  5. Draw up bobbin thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you to bring up bobbin thread.

CAUTION! Ensure stable surface; keep fingers away from needle during operation.

Basic Sewing Operations

Basic sewing techniques and machine operation.

  1. Position fabric: Lower presser foot lever to engage tension.
  2. Start sewing: Press foot control gently to begin stitching.
  3. 3. Guide fabric: Guide fabric gently without pulling or pushing.
  4. Reverse stitching: Hold reverse lever to sew backwards for reinforcement.
  5. Finishing: Raise needle to highest position, raise presser foot, remove fabric.
  6. Thread cutting: Use built-in thread cutter on face plate.

Tip: Practice on scrap fabric first to adjust tension and stitch settings.

Stitch Selection

Select and use different stitch patterns.

  1. Straight stitch: Use for basic sewing, topstitching, and basting.
  2. Zigzag stitch: Use for finishing edges, appliqué, and stretch fabrics.
  3. Blind hem: Use for nearly invisible hems on garments.
  4. Elastic stitch: Use for sewing elastic and stretch fabrics.
  5. Decorative stitches: Use for decorative sewing and embellishments.
  6. Buttonhole: Follow four-step process for perfect buttonholes.

WARNING! Always raise needle before changing stitch patterns. Use appropriate presser foot for each stitch.

Maintenance & Cleaning
