Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable sewing table.

  1. Remove packaging materials and protective covers.
  2. Place machine on flat, stable surface at comfortable height.
  3. Connect foot control pedal to machine.
  4. Plug power cord into wall outlet (120V AC).
  5. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back, tighten screw.
  6. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, follow threading guide, wind bobbin.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always turn off power when threading or changing accessories.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; follow basic threading procedure.

  1. Raise presser foot and needle to highest position.
  2. Place thread spool on spool pin.
  3. Follow threading path indicated on machine.
  4. Use automatic needle threader: Lower lever, hook thread, release lever.
  5. Insert bobbin: Open cover, place bobbin with thread counterclockwise, pull thread through slot.
  6. Bring up bobbin thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you.
  7. Select basic straight stitch for initial testing.

CAUTION! Always test stitches on scrap fabric first. Ensure proper thread tension.

WARNING! Always lower presser foot before sewing. Keep fingers clear of moving parts.

Maintenance & Cleaning

  3. Clean lint and dust from bobbin area and feed dogs.

CAUTION! Never use compressed air; it can force lint deeper into mechanism.
