Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable sewing table.

  1. Remove packaging materials and protective covers.
  2. Attach foot control: Plug into machine port.
  3. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back.
  4. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide thread through bobbin winding tension disk.
  5. Insert bobbin: Place bobbin in case with thread unwinding counterclockwise.
  6. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered threading path on machine.
  7. Plug into power outlet.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always turn off power when threading or changing accessories.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; follow basic sewing steps.

  1. Select straight stitch: Turn stitch selection dial to position 01.
  2. Set stitch length: Adjust to 2.5 for medium stitch.
  3. Place fabric under presser foot: Lower presser foot lever.
  4. Begin sewing: Press foot control or start/stop button.

  7. Raise needle: Turn handwheel toward you to highest position.
