Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable sewing table.

  1. Remove machine from packaging: Carefully lift machine from box.
  2. Attach accessories: Install standard foot and other accessories as needed.
  3. Connect power: Plug power cord into machine and wall outlet.
  4. Install needle: Ensure needle is properly inserted with flat side to back.
  5. Oil machine: Apply recommended oil to designated points before first use.

First-Time Setup

Power on machine; follow threading guide.

  1. Thread machine: Follow color-coded threading path for upper and lower loopers.
  2. Install needles: Use recommended Janome needles size 11/75 or 14/90.

Threading Instructions

Follow color-coded threading path for proper operation.

  1. Raise presser foot and needle to highest position.
  2. Thread upper looper: Follow blue threading path from spool to looper.
  3. Thread lower looper: Follow red threading path from spool to looper.
  4. Thread needles: Use built-in needle threader for easy threading.
  5. Pull threads under presser foot: Ensure all threads are properly positioned.

Tip: Always thread with presser foot raised to open tension discs.

Basic Operation

Supports various fabrics from lightweight to medium weight.

  1. Prepare fabric: Place fabric under presser foot, lower presser foot lever.
  2. Start sewing: Press foot control gently to begin stitching.
  3. Guide fabric: Let machine feed fabric; do not pull or push.
  4. Finish seam: Sew off edge of fabric to chain off, then cut threads.
  5. Change settings: Adjust differential feed for stretch fabrics to prevent waving.
  6. Create rolled hem: Move lever to rolled hem position for narrow hems.
  7. Use free arm: Remove accessory compartment for sewing tubular items.
  8. Clean regularly: Remove lint buildup after each project.

Care & Maintenance
