Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Remove machine from packaging: Remove all protective materials and foam.
  2. Attach accessory box: Slide accessory box into position on free arm.
  3. Install foot control: Connect foot control to machine port.
  4. Connect to power: Plug power cord into machine and wall outlet.
  5. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back.

WARNING! Machine is heavy; lift with care to avoid injury. Ensure stable placement.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; follow setup procedures.

  1. Thread upper thread: Follow threading path marked on machine.
  2. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, wind bobbin using bobbin winder.
  3. Insert bobbin: Place bobbin in bobbin case with thread pulling counterclockwise.
  4. Select stitch: Turn stitch selection dial to desired stitch pattern.

  3. Bobbin winding: Use bobbin winder with machine in winding position.
  4. Bobbin insertion: Place bobbin with thread pulling counterclockwise.
  5. Bring up bobbin thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you.

WARNING! Ensure presser foot is raised when threading upper thread.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug before maintenance. Clean lint and dust regularly.

  1. Remove needle plate: Use screwdriver to remove screws and clean underneath.
  2. Clean bobbin area: Remove bobbin case and clean lint accumulation.
  3. Oil machine: Apply sewing machine oil to moving parts as directed.
  4. Replace needle: Change needle after every project or 8 hours of sewing.
