Unpacking and Setup

Remove all packaging materials and inspect contents. Place on stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove machine from box and remove all protective materials.
  2. Attach foot controller to machine and plug into power source.
  3. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back, tighten screw.
  4. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide thread through bobbin winder tension disc.
  5. Insert bobbin: Place bobbin in bobbin case with thread pulling counterclockwise.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always turn off power when threading or changing needle.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; practice on scrap fabric first.

  1. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered threading guide on machine.
  2. Pull up bobbin thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you until bobbin thread appears.
  3. Select stitch: Turn stitch selection dial to desired pattern.
  4. Adjust stitch length/width: Set according to fabric type and project requirements.
  5. Begin sewing: Place fabric under presser foot, lower foot, and gently press foot controller.

CAUTION! Always use correct needle and thread for fabric type. Test stitches on scrap fabric first.

  2. Bobbin winding: Place thread on spool pin, through bobbin winder tension, around bobbin, engage bobbin winder, press foot controller.
  3. Bobbin insertion: Open bobbin cover, drop in bobbin with thread pulling counterclockwise, pull thread through slot.
  4. Bring up bobbin thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you until bobbin thread loops up.

WARNING! Ensure presser foot is raised when threading upper thread for proper tension.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Brush out lint from bobbin area and feed dogs
  2. Weekly: Oil moving parts with sewing machine oil (check manual for specific points)
  3. Monthly: Clean tension discs with folded fabric or dental floss
