Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable sewing table.

  1. Remove machine from packaging: Carefully lift machine from box, remove all protective materials.
  2. Install foot pedal: Connect foot pedal cord to machine's foot control jack.
  3. Connect power: Plug power cord into machine and then into electrical outlet.
  4. Install accessories: Place accessory box in designated compartment.

WARNING! Machine is heavy; lift with care to avoid injury. Ensure stable surface placement.

First-Time Setup

Prepare machine for first use with proper threading and bobbin winding.

  1. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide through bobbin winder tension, press bobbin winder shaft.
  2. Insert bobbin: Place bobbin in bobbin case with thread pulling counterclockwise.
  3. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered threading path, use automatic needle threader for final step.
  4. Test stitching: Use scrap fabric to test basic straight stitch with balanced tension.

CAUTION! Always turn off power when threading or changing needles.

Controls and Settings

Main controls located on front and side of machine. Stitch selection dial, stitch length dial, stitch width dial, reverse stitch lever.

Basic Controls: Power switch, stitch selection dial, stitch length dial, stitch width dial, reverse stitch lever, bobbin winder, handwheel.

Stitch Selection: Turn dial to select desired stitch pattern (1-33). Stitch Length: Adjust for shorter/longer stitches. Stitch Width: Adjust zigzag and decorative stitch width. Reverse: Hold lever for backstitching. Tension: Upper thread tension dial for balanced stitching.

Threading the Machine

Proper threading ensures smooth operation and quality stitches.

  1. Raise presser foot and needle to highest position.
  2. Place thread spool on spool pin with thread unwinding counterclockwise.
  3. Follow numbered threading path: Through first thread guide, around tension discs, through take-up lever, down to needle.
  4. Use automatic needle threader: Push lever down, hook thread, release lever to pull thread through needle eye.
  5. Pull both threads under presser foot toward back of machine.

Tip: Always thread with presser foot raised to open tension discs.

Basic Sewing Operations

Fundamental sewing techniques for everyday projects.

  1. Position fabric: Lower presser foot at beginning of seam.
  2. Start sewing: Gently press foot pedal to begin stitching.
  3. Guide fabric: Keep hands on either side of presser foot, let feed dogs move fabric.
  4. Backstitch: Hold reverse lever at beginning and end of seams to secure stitches.
  5. Finish sewing: Raise needle to highest position, lift presser foot, remove fabric.
  6. Cut threads: Use built-in thread cutter or scissors.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from moving needle. Never pull fabric while sewing.

Care & Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Clean lint: Remove bobbin case and clean lint from bobbin area after each project.
  2. Oil machine: Apply sewing machine oil to designated points every 3-6 months.
  3. Change needle: Replace needle after 8-10 hours of sewing or for each new project.
  4. Cover machine: Use dust cover when not in use to prevent dust accumulation.

CAUTION! Unplug machine before cleaning or maintenance. Use only sewing machine oil.
