Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable sewing table.

  1. Remove packaging materials and protective covers.
  2. Attach foot controller to machine and power outlet.
  3. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back, tighten screw.
  4. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide thread through bobbin winding tension disk.
  5. Insert bobbin: Open bobbin cover, place bobbin with thread unwinding counterclockwise.
  6. Plug into power outlet.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always turn off power when threading or changing accessories.

First-Time Operation

Power on machine; follow basic threading procedure.

  1. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered threading guide on machine.
  2. Use automatic needle threader: Push lever down and hook thread through needle eye.
  3. Draw up bobbin thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you until bobbin thread appears.
  4. Select stitch: Turn stitch selection dial to desired pattern.
  5. Adjust stitch length/width: Set according to fabric type and project requirements.
  6. Begin sewing: Place fabric under presser foot, lower foot, and press foot controller.

CAUTION! Always use correct needle and thread for fabric type. Test stitches on scrap fabric first.

  4. Buttonholes: 4 one-step automatic styles - standard, reinforced, stretch, keyhole.
  5. Specialty Stitches: Shell tuck, smocking, fagoting, quilting stitches.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Brush out lint from bobbin area and feed dogs after each project.
  2. Weekly: Remove needle plate and clean underneath.

  4. As needed: Replace needle regularly (every 8-10 hours of sewing).
  5. Storage: Cover machine when not in use to prevent dust accumulation.

Troubleshooting
