Janome Computerized / Embroidery Machines (MC, Continental, Skyline)

• Machine Won’t Turn On: Check power cord connection; try different outlet; hold power button 3–5 sec.
• Thread Breaking / Bird’s Nest: Re-thread top & bobbin following arrows; use correct bobbin (Janome red/blue); clean bobbin area.
• Needle Threader Not Working: Lower presser foot first; use size 11–14 needle; clean hook race of lint.
• Error E1 / E2 / E3: Turn off 30 sec → restart; if persistent, clean sensors or update firmware via USB.
• Embroidery Hoop Not Recognized: Re-attach hoop firmly; clean hoop connector pins with alcohol.

Janome Heavy-Duty & Quilting (1600P, HD9, MC6700P)

• Skipped Stitches: Use new Schmetz/Organ needle size 14–18; insert needle flat side to back.
• Bobbin Winding Loose: Place thread through all guides; wind at medium speed; push bobbin winder spindle fully right.
• Motor Overheating: Let machine rest 30 min after 2+ hours of continuous use.

Janome Mechanical & Beginner Models (2212, Hello Kitty, etc.)

• Machine Jamming: Remove bobbin case, clean hook race with brush; oil if model requires.
• Tension Problems: Upper tension 4–5 for most fabrics; always raise presser foot when threading.
• Handwheel Hard to Turn: Turn handwheel toward you only (never backward).
